Had Sugarfire for the first time 7 years ago. Happen to be in town on the anniversary and decided to give it a shot again. It didn't miss a beat. Turkey was perfectly smoked, pulled pork had a tasty bark and the brisket sealed the deal. Wish they'd open up a Sugarfire back home.

I stumbled upon this spot walking around downtown. I haven't had STL barbecue in years but always love the dry rubs and bbq sauces. The restaurant has a bit of a cafeteria casual feel to it but everyone is kind and offers suggestions. The menu was extensive so deciding on a meat and sides was challenging. I ended up getting the brisket which was cooked just right. I tried all 4 of the bbq sauces on the table with the brisket. I recommend the coffee flavor and spicy bbq sauce. I loved the broccoli salad as it was the star of the meal for me. The green bean casserole was lackluster. Their hush puppies have pork belly in them so I devoured them, but I was not a fan of the green sauce it came with as it was too sweet. I recommend this restaurant as a starter for a local bbq crawl.

I got the half rack of ribs that comes with two sides and a soda. I got their Mac n cheese and their potato salad. I loved their Mac n cheese but I wasn't a huge fan of the potato salad. I think it definitely could have been a lot better. The ribs were delicious though. Had good flavor and super juicy. The Mac n cheese and the ribs carried the order to give it a five star. They also had onions and pickles you could have with your order which I thought was pretty nice too. The food gets handed to you when you order and you bring it to registrar where you check out. There were plenty of seats inside and out and had good art on the walls. Everything put together made for a great spot to eat. If you're looking for some good BBQ you should definitely give this place a try.

Always delicious! I had a meeting down the street at lunch time. It was right place, right time (been craving it!). I came in around 120pm and there wasn't a line. I love their salads, so I got their taco salad. It comes with both brisket and smoked turkey, grilled corn, green chilies, red onion, cheese, and their delicious southwest ranch I believe? Whatever the ranch was, it was fabulous. They make your tray in front of you, you grab it, pay, and then take a seat. I got water to drink, but they have excel soda which is always a fan favorite. My salad was good, delicious, and fresh. They use fresh veggies which you can definitely tell. The flavors complimented each other really well (going to add green chilies to my taco salads at home now- what have I even been doing?), and the meat was prepared perfectly. It came served in a fried flour tortilla bowl, which was crispy and good! I wish they had a location closer to my house or else I'd be in her super regularly. Thanks for a great lunch!

One cannot talk about Saint Louis barbecue without talking about Sugarfire. First off, let me start by saying that the staff and service here at this location was excellent! I always enjoy seeing a staff that enjoys serving and helping customers. From the time we walked until the time we left we received top notch service. I have been told by many to try their burger and I'll be the first to admit that I was a little reluctant to go to a bbq restaurant and not order a smoked bbq dish. However, I ordered their double bacon cheeseburger with macaroni and cheese as my side dish and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Let me tell ya the burger was delicious! The burger was well cooked, well seasoned, had the perfect condiment ratio, and the bacon had a great smokey, peppery sweet flavor. The macaroni and cheese tasted very good. It's not a gooey, stringy cheesy type of macaroni but it's a good one! The pulled pork was one of the best, it was meaty, smokey and tender. The fries were dropped fresh, were crispy and flavorful. Sugarfire has a variety of barbecue sauces available at their condiment station so I suggest trying them all. I love a a good condiment station with a great sauce selection at a barbecue joint! I give Sugarfire two thumbs up........and a fist bump!
